Veterinary Assistants

Baran is a dedicated third-year Biology student at Simon Fraser University, with aspirations to pursue veterinary medicine after graduation. Growing up in various towns across Iran, Baran developed a profound love and care for animals living on rural farms during her father’s residency which allowed her to connect deeply with the natural world and its creatures, solidifying her commitment to animal welfare.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Baran is an avid sports enthusiast. She spends her free time at the gym where she channels her energy and love for fitness and well-being, or with her dog, Tekila, who inspires her daily and embodies her passion for animal care.  Baran’s unique blend of academic excellence and practical experience with animals to veterinary medicine, making her a dynamic and compassionate advocate for animal health and welfare. Her diverse background equips her with the skills and empathy necessary to make a meaningful impact in the field.
