Dani

Office Manager

Originally from Brazil, Dani spent her early childhood years in Florida before her family relocated to Vancouver in 2008. She has always had an immense love for animals and knew that working with them and ensuring they receive the highest level of care was her calling. Her journey started as a volunteer in a general practice setting in 2017, and she worked hard to learn every aspect of veterinary care from the ground up. She quickly assumed the roles of kennel attendant, veterinary receptionist, and veterinary assistant. After many years of hands-on learning and experience in hospital, her path then led to working in multi departmental specialty and emergency hospitals, where she continued to advance her career and absorb knowledge.

Always wanting a challenge and seeking more personal and professional growth, her journey brought her to North Care Animal Hospital. Her drive, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring the gold standard of pet healthcare for all patients have culminated in becoming the office manager here at North Care. She strives to contribute to the hospital’s growth and cement its status as one of the leading veterinary practices in BC’s lower mainland.
Dani completed her Associate of Science Degree, specialized in Biology and Chemistry, from Douglas College in 2021. She is a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional, as well as being certified in RECOVER: Basic and Advanced Life Support. On her days off, Dani loves to spend time with her partner and their two cats, Juniper and Peach, and their dog, Winnie. She can be found having a movie night at home, or reading a good book with a cat on her lap.

Currently pursuing counselling psychology , Kyra is fascinated by the intricate behaviors and emotions of both humans and animals, which enhances her approach to veterinary care. As a vet assistant, she finds fulfillment in providing compassionate support to animals and their owners, ensuring their health and happiness with empathy and expertise.
